It's any wonder why people just don't trust white when even self-professed allies and progressives go all "send SWAT" the moment they're disagreed with or told what they're doing isn't enough. -Especially- when that happens really.Malcolm X was right, dare I say. @Are0hWhite fragility is gonna get us all killed cuz white fragility is backed up by corporate and military hegemony. We can't even point to a WW1-style event anymore, America got spit on by a country it spent decades exploiting, and that's all it took to send us into a fascistic death-spiral.It'd be comical is if it weren't going to get most of us killed and leave the survivors in a Mad Max-esque landscape of ecological catastrophe.

@Beauford_Hammersham Hm, I don't know if I'd quite agree with that interpretation because there's a lot of good being done in the States, but I will say it is definite taking a toll on white identified people as their overall share of the population is dropping off the table.I mean, lack of public services is killing white populations right now (i.e. Pence when he was in Indiana) but white people keep voting against them.It's madness.

@Are0hI mean people keep insisting they aren't getting anything by voting Republican, but I'd argue that cathartic glee at watching the people you're convinced are enemies suffer and die en masse is definitely something.Like... yes the U.S. has plenty of decent folks in it. As it stands though we're still controlled by an extremely racist minority because our electoral system and government are shattered undemocratic messes. Add onto that oncoming climate change...

@Beauford_Hammersham Oh yeah, we definitely agree on that. The point that white people aren't taking into account or maybe they do and just don't care, but they are dying faster everyone else. Their own hatred is the very thing wiping them out.Yes all this is true, but I come from a culture that clawed their way out of abject and most brutal conditions to a place where we can actually be people.The fact we still exist is what informs my optimism. We can get there if we work.
