Just started Changeling route. She starts the game by waking up in an open grave after some rough dreams.Day One,in which the Changeling finally finds her sister, thus confirming the prophecy of the twin angels.

Instead of punching like normal people Clara holds her hand out in front of her and does some invisible magic damage. It is much slower than a punch. Not sure yet how the timing is supposed to work. Guess we'll find out.The day 1 main quest tasks us with healing a wounded kid (the one we spared as Haruspex). Instead our touch killed him in one hit. Oops? It's okay though. The guy watching us said the kid died because he deserved it and pointed us to someone nicer to heal.

Oh no. Changeling's reputation goes down over time. The Executor in the beginning mentioned it but I didn't think it would actually be a constant effect. At least it seems pretty slow so far. I just hope our killing of muggers can keep up with it.Of course by now we also know that Clara has some rough patches where everyone abandons her, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were plenty of events that drop the rep down to near empty. Also, really missing Haruspex's storage chest. :/

Clara, being a preteen girl, can't use weapons. To make it even worse, when she picks up a weapon, it goes into the "other" category in inventory. This category is usually close to full up with random crap as it is, so I might not have space for any weapons I find. But that might explain why those two muggers I killed at the beginning dropped gold rings instead of knives. Maybe the game will focus on giving me loot that I can trade with other kids.

Day Two,in which the Changeling discovers her just judge skills, simultaneously converting into the true faith.Short main quest today, but it's a tough choice. We either blame Aspity for the plague and get a rep increase but she gets quarantined, or we say she's innocent and get a rep decrease for failing in our "miracle". Aside from the immediate effects, either choice could have serious negative consequences.Kind of sucks but we're probably going to blame her.

Changed my mind. Not going to blame Aspity because that would make her count as sick/dead and she's one of my Bound. We'll probably get some panacea at some point but why waste it on her?We have a side quest where we need a flower. Flowers are mostly found randomly while walking. Changeling starts the game with one, but we traded it to a little girl for some painkillers in day 1 because that seemed like a solid trade at the time. Now we get to walk around and hope.

After a few hours of save scumming we gave up on the flower. Pity. This game has been pushing the possibility that Clara has an evil twin even in the other characters' stories, but it's much more present playing as her. We just ran into Bachelor, who seemed surprised to see us. He said he just saw us at Anna's. Why would he be surprised at that if he was just at Anna's himself? Does he walk that much faster than us?Of course the point there is that we weren't at Anna's, but still.

Day Three,in which the Changeling endeavours to hunt her impudent sister down and uncover habitual villains' sins. We're about halfway through day 3. Pretty easy day. Got (I think) all the quests done by 7am. Killed about 15 muggers through the night, which was good because we needed the reputation and money. For the main quest, we learned more of Anna's background with the Caravan. Like yesterday, we had the choice to blame the plague on her but decided not to.

Looks like there are at least two weapons Changeling can use: scalpel and derringer. Derringer is pretty expensive and seems to be even worse than the revolver. We'll see how far our unarmed attack can take us, since it at least has a little range compared to the punching. But once we start looting empty houses we'll probably need that derringer. Maybe we'll get lucky and get one for free in a side quest.

I don't know if this is a bug or what's going on but sometimes when we talk to Katarina instead of one of her regular lines we hear a strange woman's voice saying "Nothing threatens your daughter. Everyone will die but you will remain."Never heard this voice before, and I don't know who she would be speaking to. None of the playable characters have daughters as far as I know of. Definitely not Clara, who appears to be a preteen girl.Pretty weird.

Evening of day 3 we found a little girl with a shmowder to trade. I didn't even know that was possible. It cost 10 units of kids'-crap but fortunately I had it. Now I have a spare shmowder. Kids carry the best drugs.Early morning day 4 we got a side quest to talk to Mark Immortell. He gave us permission to meet the Rat Prophet. Always a pleasure.

Day Four,by the end of which it becomes apparent to the Changeling that someone is twisting her good deeds.I like to take screenshots of these day titles so I can type them up later. Today's appeared at a busy time, but at least it made for a nice screenshot. In the main quest we interrogated Bad Grief, learned his real name and his relationship with the muggers (surprise, they've been working for him all along), and found a head in a sack. Pretty classy.

We got the derringer. Not a great gun but it should be effective enough at killing the two best income sources in the game: looters and arsonists. We've also started using more lockpicks to get into occupied houses. Good sources of food but not much else.In a side quest we again had the option to betray Haruspex. We chose not to. I'm really not sure what the in-character choice is for some of these. Clara talks like she wants to do the right thing but she's also very spiteful.

Day Five, which leads the Changeling to the conclusion that a peculiar mystery play-like event occurs in the town daily.(If it took her five days to figure that out she's not a smart kid.)Today's main quest we had to interview Rubin and arrange his trial and/or pardon with Georgiy. Rubin told us that before his death Isidor claimed to see the plague in the form of a woman. One side quest involved a disastrous attempt to convert the Stamatin twins. Haven't seen the others yet.

Big stuff in the other side quests. Looks like this is where things start getting weird for poor Clara.First, Capella told us to check on the cathedral to make sure that the plague didn't sneak in. Everything seemed fine, but if we remember this means tomorrow is when everyone thinks she went in and touched everyone and force fed them infected blood. Obviously we didn't do the weird blood thing, but we did let everyone touch us. What could possibly go wrong?

That night we finally got to meet the Albino. Remember when we killed this guy with Bachelor? Bachelor is an asshole.Albino says that he is our brother. He was made with the clay that was left over after the Earth created Clara. He says that we are in danger, that tomorrow we will be disowned by our allies and hunted by the town (i.e. the cathedral incident). He says that Clara's sister is real because we made her real, and that she will find us soon.Pleasant conversation.

Lastly, we got this letter at 11pm day 5:"By this evening I am going to make a visit to the Cathedral. They need me there, I feel, else the worst could happen... Where are you? What do you have on your mind? I've lost your trace once again.I also cannot escape the feeling that the Bachelor and the Haruspex, the two merciless strangers whom nature itself would command to eliminate each other, have joined forces to destroy me instead. Where are you? I am so worried about you..."

Day Six,fateful for the Changeling, who loses everything in the beginning, but gains a lot by the end of it.The night started out like usual. Doing early quests, killing some muggers. Then my reputation emptied hilariously fast. It went like this:- oh look my rep just dropped a bit.- oh crap.- everyone's punching me this is awful.- wait, no rep means nothing to lose by killing them.So now I'm killing a lot of people. Not sure this is what the devs intended, but it works.

Day 6 was pretty obnoxious. Just lots of fighting everywhere, with Changeling's unreliable magic touch attack. Example of today's "fun" in below screenshot. There was a similar fight happening at the same time just around the corner. On the bright side, as well as getting to kill anyone I wanted I also learned that muggers and arsonists don't attack you when your rep is empty. They have accepted me as one of their own.

For side quests, we converted Vlad II to Humility. He was resolved to turning himself over to the kin for locking up the Termitary. Finally met our doppelganger in an infected house. She seems nice. Talked to Albino again too. He suggested we submit to Bachelor. For main quest, we searched for Bachelor while he did his thing testing the three suspect ladies for plague. It was neat because he would appear in different houses through the day. We waited until night to turn ourselves in.

@TheGrizzliGamer Usually you want high rep. With low rep everyone wants to punch you (except drunks and kids, they still like you) and shops won't sell to you. I'm sure it's possible to get through the whole game with low rep but it'd be a pain. But when the game forces your rep down for the whole day, go for it. Being attacked constantly is tough but it's worse if you don't fight back. Just stock up on bandages and bullets first.

Day Seven,in which the Changeling confirms her sainthood once again and sees the demons gang up on her.Turning ourselves in gave us a small chunk of rep and stopped the awful rep drain, but when we left the house at midnight we still needed more to avoid being attacked. Fortunately there were some nearby abandoned houses and killing a few looters brought us back to full. After that we ran a couple errands for Bachelor and Haruspex. This feels familiar somehow.

For the main quest we went to Aglaya to clear our name. She sent us to interrogate our adoptive parents the Saburovs. They in turn sent us around town to talk to different folks.Alexander wanted us to talk to Bachelor and Haruspex to ask about TPTB. They of course said the goal was to save the town.Katarina confessed immediately but wanted us to talk to the other Mistresses about our inheritance. We judged them innocent. Aglaya told us that she is testing us to find our purpose.

Day Eight,in which the Changeling traces it all back to the source and realizes that the town desperately needs a true Mistress.Aglaya sent us to talk to Foreman Oyun. He is scared of Haruspex and sent us to talk to Aspity about him. She told us that Haruspex's inheritance is genuine and also about the plague's true purpose. Oyun seemed satisfied. Then we got letters telling us to warn both Bachelor and Haruspex that the other is trying to kill them. What drama queens.

Good lord, are all the side quests for the rest of the game going to be "here's a clue about an area in town. now go search every infected house over there until you find [insert protagonist here]"? I love the Changeling's story but this shit is getting real old.

Day Nine,in which the Changeling finds out that in her case a thief and a miracle-worker are not necessarily the same thing. In the main quest Aglaya wanted us to look into the Polyhedron. Georgiy Kain offered to let us in if we could find out where Rubin is and let him know he's forgiven. Bachelor and Haruspex told us a bit about Rubin and Simon, which was apparently enough because Georgiy opened the Polyhedron.Inside we met our old friends, "The Powers That Be."

TPTB seemed to disagree about what our purpose was in town. Doesn't everyone? After this encounter we returned to Aglaya, who amusingly was not impressed at our discovery. I wonder how confusing this conversation would have felt if I hadn't met TPTB with Haruspex. Finally she tells us the tired opinion that either the Polyhedron or town must be destroyed. Meanwhile Changeling seems to be forming a new plan to save everyone, and it involves Simon's ghost.

And yes, we did finally finish those sidequests. Fortunately only our twin is hiding in an infected house. Bachelor and Haruspex are in clean deserted houses, but they still have three goons each to kill. It was basically the same as the Day 8 quests. We also discovered a side goal involving our twin and Albino. I just hope this isn't something we've been missing these past few days of chasing our twin around town. Also, have a picture of a guy standing in a plague. Want a bandage?

Day Ten,in which Clara deciphers the hidden purpose of her miracles and the Changeling accepts the inevitability of death. We finally caught up to Rubin and heard his discoveries. He says Clara's power is to transform human blood into the same kind as found in Simon and the Aurochs. And since all of our Bound are terrible people looking for redemption, we have no shortage of willing sacrifices to manufacture all the panacea we need.Neat.
