       thinkin about the time someone on the Freenode linux channel told me I would never get anywhere in life because of my preference for olde laptops over custom-built desktops for my lifestyle and needs. Because "if your processor isn't fast enough you'll get left behind"I told him that if his processor speed is the main bottleneck for getting work done in his position, then he has a job that's going to get automated out of existence in five years.He told me I was an idiot and wasn't smart enough to use computers.

       @alva @diodelass There are a lot of good people on Freenode and there are some people who will always refuse to help and tell you to RTFM. I mean .. it's just like anywhere else. Also RMS uses an older laptop (he refuses to use anything with closed binary blobs) and he seems to be doing just fine.
