@Ocean22 this is a very hot take but I did start with mint and hate it because it was really weird in places about usability. Skipped the fedora and arch phase because I never wanted to learn anything super hard, then used xubuntu n I love xubuntu a lot. After that I did finally understand what “is based on Debian” meant and did a stable install. Installed xfce on it, then closed my laptop and fell asleep

@bridge Mint is a literal dumpster fire and I highly recommend everyone stay far far away from it. I've installed Arch and it's a ton of fun, never messed with Fedora and everything I've heard about it has been bad so I don't really plan toxbuntu is cool I do agree high rec for new but slight experience usersI don't mean any of what this meme says, Arch is fun to mess around with, but I think it'd be very silly to use it for important work tbh even tho that is a hot take

@Ocean22 Hmm... I started out with Red Hat, then went to Mandrake, then back to Red Hat, then Ubuntu, then Mint, then Debian, and lastly Fedora.I think I broke the graph... 😂

@Ocean22 Maybe put Manjaro at the end and the meme is good. I get way too many problems from Ubuntu based distros and debian has a terrible wiki + a lot of it's packages are stale.

@Ocean22I don't really see ho you would go from arch to fedora. Arch is really open and allows you to do anything while in fedora, something as simple as switching to a different display manager or window manager is a massive pain in the ass.
