@NotAnElfie @lynnesbian its forced fake tradition. in poland one channel airs home alone every christmas eve like clockwork and people actually enjoy it.to be honest, so do i kind of... the "christmas spirit" is in large part about tradition, and tradition is in large part repetition. christmas is supposed to feel like... christmas. and if every christmas theres home alone on tv, that means home alone feels like christmas.i recovered from my bryan damage phase but this post still feels chaotic. idk. do you guys get what im trying to say?btw elfie i said something when i was damaged and idk if it was even coherent but its still true, youre one of my favorite fedi people and sooo cute

@NotAnElfie @lynnesbian it's an easy way to not have to talk to eachother as much I guess. My family tradition on the 24th is to eat a FUCK ton but then also talk for around 4 hours with my family while exchanging presents. And that's just with my parents and brother. Can't imagine how long it would all take if we were to invite the rest of the family too. Probably the whole night!
