@TheGibson Do these DIMMs come with a knife fight? I’m always up for a good knife fight, but can it wait until after school?

@maloki @thegibson ECC is ram often used for servers that protects against single bit data corruption along the lines of cosmic rays, etc

@maloki Error checking... designed for servers, some workstations support it too.

@thegibson My Proliant is a Gen5, so needs DDR2, so I must pass. Doubled checked my ThinkServer and it is at the max RAM capacity already.I have to pass as I don't have a current use for that at the moment.

@TheGibson My SuperMicros would love those, but I’m trying to figure out the shipping cost. It’s looking like $40-60 to Japan. I could of won the knife fight, but the shipping cost kills again.

@thegibson I have a pile of older PowerEdge servers I bought a few months ago. Due to that, convincing the wife I need a new (or new to me) server would be dangerous.

@TheGibson Did ya get the DM I sent? I know the Fediverse can be fickly at times, so I’m not sure if it made it to ya. I can pay in dollars or Sake.
