Hey did you know that according to UK law "rape" only applies to penetration? Which means that, for example, a cis woman can date rape a man and it doesn't actually count as rape in the eyes of the law and the State? Very cool also that I found this out because this exact thing happened to my friend.

This is clearly based on the notion that men are always up for sex with women no matter what, and that men alone are capable of rape. An idea which is, in turn, a consequence of women being stripped of their sexual agency. Women are not considered by the law to be desiring subjects: they can consent, they can refuse, but they cannot demand.A feminist analysis of patriarchal ideology is necessary for the improvement of the material conditions of women, enbies, and men alike.

The erasure of male rape victims, the rates of male suicide. These are issues which feminism alone uncovers, which feminism alone can help us solve. Misogyny and patriarchy want us to ignore these issues. MRAs point towards them as proof that male privilege isn't real, but they offer no material analysis to explain them, not do they offer solutions. Feminism tells us what gives rise to these issues. Feminism is the only tool which can put an end to them.
