@Ste1lar my guess is dpkg crashed when yr display server crashed, leaving your system in a broken state. try booting your system, hitting CTRL-ALT-[F2] to drop to a terminal, log in, and run: sudo apt-get --fix-broken install

@Ste1lar @bricehawk1 lol so sorry here is one for debian https://wiki.debian.org/DebianPackageManagement the coffee hasn't kicked in yet. the commands are largely the same iirc but there may be differences
