The drums in Toxicity by SOAD are so fucking dope. Wish I was good enough at drums to be able to nail all those fills.

@coy I'm not sure if they all use double bass just the fills in the "what do you own the world" part

@ilovecomputers I didn't know that but it doesn't surprise me. I've been re-listening to their discography lately and I didn't realize how technical the drums were back when I first discovered them. I need to get a drum set again.

@ilovecomputers also kinda unrelated but I didn't realize a lot of their songs that I used to listen to are in 3/4 time

@Seishi I’ve yet to hone in that skill, but that that’s the time signature that gives a waltz-y feeling right?

@Seishi by the way, if you get a chance to see them live, DO EEET. One of the best concerts I’ve been at.

@ilovecomputers For real I hope they come out with another release. They're one of the few artists I like where I enjoy their entire discography thoroughly.

@Seishi I just watched it, it's been a while :blobderpy: Ahh the flams into the fill! That's a great chorus. No double bass though, my mistake.

@coy for real I have always been bad at executing flams cleanly lol. Those fills just feel so crisp.

@Seishi They're very crisp. Flams are the best though!! I love a well-placed flam

@ilovecomputers @Seishi This is great advice. When I think of my favorites, or even most others, every single one started with jazz.
