@cosullivan Sometimes just typing "reset" (without quotes) and pressing enter helps if terminal is messed up.

@gcupc No, typing 'stty sane' at the command-line prompt doesn't work.

@cosullivan I do 'reset' when I get crap in my terminal. I hate it when I have crap in my terminal.

@gcupc I'll tell you that I learned typing 'reset', then pressing the Enter key does work. Thanks for the attempt.

@cosullivan i think you're looking for something other than reset. doesn't that always kinda feel like an "i give up!" heheit's shocking, shocking how frequently C-l (ctrl + downcase L) make-better-ifies a terminal, especially a remote session, that i think i've fubar'd.

@nydel Thanks I'll remember your recommendation too. I didn't know about CTRL+L. I need to read that William E. Shotts book.

@cosullivan @nydel I don't know that ctrl+L is always set to 'clear'?I actually simply type 'clear <enter>' and then resort to 'reset <enter>' if that doesn't work.
