@roka @xenome Well by itself as story it's a shitty edgy shounen based on a shitty light novel.But it's enjoyable, there is nothing wrong with it besides being mediocre.Now the anime adaptation is just a different can of worms that ultimately fails to improve on anything the original manga set itself to achieve, which it's extremely egregious considering how mediocre the source material is, it fails so hard that it even ruined the manga for me which I enjoyed mind you

@NotAnElfie @roka i havent read the ln or manga so i dont really have strong opinions on the show, but i cant tell why its so polarizing. its good enough for me to watch an episode a week. probably wouldnt watch it if it wasnt ongoing. my favorite part is that goblin slayer is ryan gosling in my head and i enjoy works of fiction where characters have roles/archetypes instead of names. thats basically all i have to say about it

@xenome @NotAnElfie the sum of outrage is that some NPCs watched it and their program decided it's worth scoring a few "i'm so sensitive that it outrages me; look at my virtue!" points.Note the claims that shoving mostly implied rape as a traumatic event in order to establish gablins as monsters somehow amounts to titllation in their program.I think it might be projection tbh.
