       @cj @arcatech I don't.Neither a Democrat nor a Republican landslide today or two years from now would immanentize the eschaton.The 1960's were *much* worse than this from a political violence perspective. The lead up to the US Civil War was much more contentious.If you want to see barely contained political fury, go read Roman history.

       @profoundlynerdy @cj I don’t think the fact that things were worse before means that people shouldn’t care about the terrible shit happening right now. Reading about Roman history does not make people who had their children stolen at the border feel better.
