       @Deiru @ContraPointsBot New philosophy tube video fell for it too with the Ben Shapiro and Marxist feminists gag. I'm conflicted though because that production quality certainly helps spread these ideas, and maybe the cheap jokes too? I don't think this phenomena has much to do with left or right leaning content producers so much as it has to do with what appeals to large consumer and voter groups in the west. Jokes are probably a symptom of the overton window expanding in the US to encompass groups that have little interest in tolerating each other

       @mikasa I'd argue that it's just easier to get hella clicks and sweet ratings when your political points are expressed in that way.You can get your point across  and be popular without personal or group attacks, but it's substantially more difficult.
