       I'd wager this is frighteningly common. I've yet to experience any of it firsthand but just from what I know it seems to me that OBGYN and Maternity care in America, at least the kind that's given to White people, is designed from the ground up to either damage or at the absolute worst kill the child while severely economically disincentivizing the parents from having any more.​

       It can also have benefits obviously, I know multiple people now whose kids would have 100% died were it not for medical intervention, but regardless of that there's just something very very wrong here

       @Shadowman311 they will only point to evidence based medicine and literature that supports their approach, if you bring up anything that is contrary to what they are pushing, they get dismissive and perturbed.  Had this happen when I had a tendonitis issue, ortho wanted to give steriod injection, gave me all the pros, I asked if it could weaken the tendon, he got visibly MAD AT ME, and said why ask if you already know everything. He told me if I don't want the injection, he can't help me.

       I went to get an ingrown toenail removed and the guy doing the surgery (or I actually think it was one of the nurses using it before) had ChatGPT open in another tab, freaked me out like you wouldn't believe

       You're quite a bit more likely to die in a hospital from "birth" (i.e. intervention & post- complications) than meeeasles when I researched it years ago.What doesn't kill you will leave you jaded & bitter, unless you remember your grandma had her kids in a barn with few attendants & it's largely safer.
