       i understand the idea of not wanting to learn a new piece of software after years of using something that just works for you, or maybe even if it's a piece of shit that runs poorly you just know it and restarting in something else is just not worth the effort because what you can do with what you got would practically be reset.

       @madcuzbad @teto Photoshop isn’t just learning something new though. It’s an ecosystem at this point. Programs have compatibility to export in photoshop friendly formats. peripherals are built to map with photoshop. Treating it like just “a drawing application” is like telling a race car driver they have to use a box truck but it’s okay because it still has a steering wheel and pedals. I don’t love adobe or the idea of giving them infinite money from revenue, but we need to be realistic. FOSS has never addressed actual convenience and end user experience nor compatibility in a proper way.
