       @graf this is exactly why I consider kickstarter a last resort kind of option. Things can change dramatically during development and you open yourself up to (justified) criticism when you present your game to the public and say "it'll definitely be finished by X date" and then things come up that delay itwhether or not it's the right call to make a better game (which it was, because UE5 is trash), the backers were promised a game by a specific date

       @graf @binkle This "confidence" of his requires the new engine to be at least format compatible in terms of assets and preferably scripting, otherwise remaking all of that in 6 months is YandereDev levels of cope, when Alex was hinting at changing character models after going through the painstaking process of animating it all (All, more like the first rival)Not looking good

       @vokainen099 @graf eh I mean if it's a custom engine they're switching to then asset compatibility is pretty easy (since they can target only the things they actually use). Scripting is less-so but it sort of depends how much they've been relying on blueprints vs C++. I know the founders of the company are veterans, but I don't know so much about their tech team, and it all sorta hinges on that. I give it even odds personally
