@Darren @bumi @ericpp @csbI’ve spent WEEKS trying to get into the Alby Hub wallet I made in July. Every tutorial shows magical buttons that refuse to appear for me. Pages loop, menus vanish, features teleport. I’m starting to wonder if my setup was built on a dare. Adam was right — it’s a miracle any of this functions. At this point I’m running on sheer determination and caffeine.1/5

@Darren @bumi @ericpp @csb People keep saying, “It’s easy.” Sure. Easy like assembling furniture with no instructions and three extra parts. Screens shift, menus hide, and each click feels like rolling dice. I’m convinced the software has a secret sense of humor. I’m keeping it together, but honestly… if one more button disappears, I might develop a new facial twich. This could explain Adam's Turrets...2/5

@Darren @bumi @ericpp @csb So far I’ve downloaded files that open nothing, tapped buttons that change identities, and followed guides clearly written for a much luckier version of me. The features I need behave like they’re in hiding. Meanwhile, tech bros shrug and say, “We’ve never seen that happen.” Of course you haven’t. I’m apparently the proud owner of a limited-edition software chaos mode.4/5

@Darren @bumi @ericpp @csb I'm obviously no tech wizard, but I’m also not trying to summon lightning. (Just the NODE!) I’m just trying to find ONE screen that looks like the guide says it should. Instead, everything shape-shifts the moment I look at it. It’s like my computer is auditioning for experimental theater. @bumi Thank you for sticking with me as long as you did. I apologize again for how frustrated I was at the start. None of that was directed at you personally. I’ve just hit so many roadblocks — loops, missing screens, files that won’t open, recovery steps I can’t reach. I know developers don’t always see what end users go through, but you’re the only one who even replied, so I’m grateful.

@bumi I've followed instructions to the letter. I'm trapped in a loop. It would make anyone frustrated. Most non-tech people would have given up weeks ago. Or months ago. I've provided all the relevant screen shots. I'm not sure if you were tagged in all of them, but I'm as transparent as I can be.The 4 steps are probably geared for those who subscribe, and that's a viable business model. I inadvertently made a tangle when I tried to migrate. It's not intuitive. You have been nice.

@Vox @bumi @ericpp @csb Not sure what guide you are looking at, but the only question left is whether or not the Alby Hub on your laptop has Sats in it. Go to the folder where you installed it, you posted a screenshot of it, double-click the Alby Hub application and take a screenshot of what it shows you.

Just tell me when.The other copies you see in the screenshot are when I attempted to re-install the app so that it would show a recovery path. Alas, to no avail. But they're just copies. I don't think I made it worse. lmk when/if you have time.

@Vox @bumi @csb @ericpp We have success!I ran Alby Hub on a local Windows box. I put in Vox's 12 word phrase. The 114K Satoshis were in the hub on-chain. I was able to move them to another BTC address.🥂

@Darren I don't know if this means anything, but I feel I should mention it:I contacted Alby support a couple of days ago to get instructions directly from them. They answered very quickly. Within an hour. I followed the instructions PRECISELY and kept hitting a wall regarding a recovery path. So I emailed again, thus:"Please send me the correct Windows desktop installer (.exe) for the version that supports seed recovery."Crickets for 24 hrs. Does Alby not want me to recover my stuff?
