       @GD5426 @altopinions Hispanics were previously divided arbitrarily into "non-White Hispanic" and regular spane which counted as "White."

       @amerika @altopinions iirc, this is still the case.Though, for most things it's an entirely self-reported statistic (I'd assume this isn't the case when it comes to crime statistics/law enforcement)
