My trackpad is slowly dying so I have to get used to the nipple and maybe a window manager, specifically i3, what do you guys think of WMs?

@waifu i'll be honest, i like how dwm manages windows. in fact, i still have that for some cases, because sometimes my current WM just doesn't work with some programs at all and it's a huge pain in the ass. Also i never really liked i3, but surprisingly, i think sway is alright. Maybe i'm just biased against i3.

@gettie@fedi.catto.garden Unless I go into really specifics I can't seem to imagine a huge difference, at least compared to a DM, is it more a configuration thing or stuff just "doesn't work"?

@waifu it depends on your desktop environment. But even in a desktop environment, you can configure your shortcuts fairly easily. You don't really have to use a window manager if you don't want to. Most desktop environments allow you to customize your keyboard shortcuts (fuck gnome for making that a pain in the ass).
