       @dansup 20m+ is kind of centralising things no? Wouldn't it be better to promote decentralisation? You could run multiple (maybe thematic) instances.

       @dansup purely talking about not promoting centralisation. You yourself could run multiple instances. To the outside that appears more distributed even tho there's a single maintainer.I'm aware not many people can afford, or self host, or run a bigger instance for others. Even paying a subscription fee is not feasible for a lot of people.But looking at 20M+ users, that's becoming like mastodon.social, that also introduces maintenance and moderation burden. There's more at stake 😅

       @dansup according to gdpr you have 1 month to respond to a request. So if you *want* you can implement a delay, to allow people to undo their action. I've seen this behaviour at multiple other products.One can argue both sides of benefits and disadvantages of that

       @FediFollows while I support this message of alternatives, the policy clearly states that they don't allow a list of things, amongst which "denigrates against individuals". They removed an example.I get that it sends out a signal, but the actual terms did not really change.
