@libreofficeMany users to not see functions indeed. The space bar example seems crazy to some, but I have seen it too. In the long run an intelligent agent might do the trick. Or a grammar and style check. #LanguageTool does this for space between paragraphs (it suggests to use styles).BTW, I Iike that you mention YouTube for those in the Fediverse who cannot access peertube. 🙃 This is brilliant.

@gael Long time ago you considered#DeltaChat @delta as default chat tool. Somehow, you didn't follow this path. There were issues indeed.I would like to encourage you to reconsider this. The advances of #chatmail mean a low technical demand for operators. Users can onboard by different means like instantly. It is very easy actually. They have broadcast lists for communities. I think this is move towards the philosophy and ideals of you.

@apps I was wondering if a local translation, as in #firefox, would be a solution. It seems that the #bergamot translation tool can be used be other apps too. #dsnote (https://github.com/mkiol/dsnote) uses it for example.

I bought an #Android 4.3 tablet (#Alcatel onetouch, 18 £). Sure it is outdated but is sufficient. I found several great apps via #fdroid and transferred them via Bluetooth (saved as txt) from my current phone to the old tablet (tablet certificate expired, need to update this). Is there any resource to find more apps in the meantime? I looked at #izzyondroid a bit.@IzzyOnDroid do you have be chance a filter for the minimum Android version I missed in the web interface?#android43 #FediHelp

@fdroidorgFirst, I owe you a big thanks. 🙌 I will do that once I get the certificate issue solved.https://f-droid.org/en/docs/Running_on_old_Android_versions Issue is that I need to save the *.pem on a sdcard, which I don't have. The *.pem downloaded (to download) is not "seen" by my tablet.

@fdroidorgOnce again thanks for your help. I tried this several times but failed. Then I remembered that back in the days *.crt or *.cer were typical extensions. Once I changed the name from *.pem to *.crt it worked. I used Little File Explorer to move and rename the certificate.@IzzyOnDroid, @fdroidorg and @privacybrowser YOU ROCK!!!

@fdroidorgHopefully a final question. I see apps from the guardian archive but not from f-droid. Any idea why?

@fdroidorgyes, this might be the issue. it was downloaded in the beginning and then it was downloaded a couple of times. The memory of the device is really small (1 GB RAM). I have also an issue now with the certificate (the root certificate is installed as I can see in the security menu) but it seems it's not recognized by F-DROID. But don't waste your time on my edge case. I can get everything I need via bluetooth from an red device on this tablet. It's totally fine.

@fdroidorgJust to say it clearly, I no longer see the apps from the Guardian nor from the F-Droid Archive. But as I said, it's totally fine. Let's keep it as is. You have better things to do.

@fdroidorgI think I have heard about you first time 10-13 years ago. I was on a trip with a friend in a rural area and he used a map software and I asked him where he did get from and he said from f-droid. I couldn't really understand what he meant by that back then but after some searching I figured out there's a open source store with open source apps. What a relief as Linux user. Thanks!

@e_mydataDue to this article I learned about the existence of the a cross-platform GUI written in Rust using ADB to debloat non-rooted Android devices. They claim it can improve the privacy, the security and battery life of a device. https://github.com/Universal-Debloater-Alliance/universal-android-debloater-next-generation#android #debloat@soldan

@fdroidorgArcaneChat and Delta Chat were updated to 2.22.0, which added experimental built-in calls. They skipped 2.20.0.And please keep in mind the call feature is really experimental. Don't expect it to work every time and everywhere. And to the best of my understanding it is not based on webxdc but WebRTC. #DeltaChat

@kdeWhich devices are known to work well? Most I have looked up in the device list are listed as "... not boot".
