@Tutanota @protonprivacy proton killed off their fedi account ages ago, after everyone here (justifiably) got mad about the CEO saying some REALLY problematic right wing stuff. I would stay away from their stuff if I were you

@Chocobozzz hey, ever considered implementing the "fediverse:creator" meta tag on PeerTube pages? you could have it link back to the associated PeerTube profile so that mastodon embeds of PeerTube videos would show a "more from" section on the embed with a link to the PeerTube channel!https://rknight.me/blog/highlighting-journalism-with-the-fediverse-creator-tag/

@FediFollows @canada@fedigroups.social it may be worth using the @canada@ovo.st group instead, fedigroups aren't proper group objects (can't be used from lemmy, piefed, etc) and prohibit NSFW (also cannot be created by searching, you need to contact mods)

I’m getting seriously depressed having to keep up with all the people complaining about how X instance/person is awful and needs to be stopped. It’s making fedi un-enjoyable and I’m not gonna want you in my feed if that’s all you ever talk about, especially un-CWed. If you care so much, do something about it yourself! And no, this is not targeted at any particular person or group. I just wish we could all be decent human beings.

I’ve set up a serious backup account on lgbtqia.space if mastodon.social ever becomes intolerable in its moderation, but I’d prefer everyone just do better and/or be kind. It’s not that hard.

@keepassxc @catsalad “ai does stuff better than humans” is not a valid argument because it doesn’t. there are studies from prestigious universities that back me up on this. unless, of course, the humans working on your software are working poorly because they are being mistreated. or if you don’t want to pay people.

@Mastodon going to be entirely honest here: not a huge fan of these posts. mastodon is doing a pretty good job at moderating (better than most other social platforms) but you can’t say *NO* mobs. that’s just not true. you could say “a lower percentage of mobs compared to other social networks” or “virtually no mobs” or something like that, but I’m not a huge fan of the lying

@bloodaxe @Mastodon yep. not a huge fan of the super corporate marketing posts. might wanna tone it down a bit there. in their defense the people doing the marketing probably are entirely different from the people actually developing the software and have no idea what their demographic is really
