@RussSharek About 20 years ago I went to a workshop a friend was teaching. She was a student of Nose-to-Nose/Vivian Gladwell. I was hooked and did more workshops. More than 10 years after that I simultaneously started doing humanitarian work with Patch Adam’s and performing on local stages. Today I’d say clown is my raison d’etre and am looking to transition away from my IT career and do it full time in some way or another. How about you? It seems you’ve this for quite awhile.

@durante That's an impressive backstory. I know some folks who worked with Patch, and they are all terrific people doing good work.I was a terrible juggler who had someone suggest I study clown because I was funny when I failed. I said I was "too cool" for that. When I finally got over myself the guy explained he was Dick Monday. :)I adored the work, but something felt off. American clown wasn't really how I approached the work, which led me to the Celebration Barn and eventually...1/2

@durante ...off to London for a bit to learn from DeCastro.When I got back, I doubled down on performing and teaching. Had a lot of success, my own clown lab, and my own baby circus. That eventually morphed into a clown theater company, which had a lot of fun until the pandemic started.A bunch of online and offstage projects later I got the chance to help build a clown school and be the lead teacher.
