       @Mastodon Federation is pointless for networks where an instance has way more users than the rest: it becomes a target for governments and baddies.Until it's taken care of, this toot is just a weak donation plea. Mastodon.social should no longer get recommended by any Mastodon client or website (I would say it should even close new sign ups too) and people should donate to their instance admins instead.
