If you need a password manager for iOS or macOS that gives you full control over your data, KeePassium is a fantastic option. With KeePassium, you can keep your password database offline entirely, or choose whomever you trust to store it. https://www.privacyguides.org/articles/2025/05/13/keepassium-review/

@privacyguides Our KeePass database is on a NAS at our location, directly accessible for the deskops in the network. The netbook and laptop have the database synchronissed from/with the NAS (also outside with any Internet access) and our mobiles connect to the NAS using WebDAV to sync. the local database. And yes, there are backups in online storage as well as offline backups.

@yawnbox there’s no comparison, since Strongbox lies about being open source and was acquired by Applause, an app-acquiring conglomerate with no security expertise. https://discuss.privacyguides.net/t/remove-strongbox/19613https://github.com/strongbox-password-safe/Strongbox/issues/784cc @devsyukov
