       I've found this post yesterday, and I've attained enlightenment it was pretty big discovery for me. It's a shame, but in spite of all my experience and curiosity in IT area, in my head there was no clear conception about basic algebra definitions. Well, as a student I attended classes on discrete math and linear algebra, but I still could not understand, what the heck is a ring or monoid… And here comes Steinar H. Gunderson and explains such things so that even 5 y.o. could realize. 😃 So, I want to say, “Thank you! At last it become more clear and I can move further.” 😊 It helped. Really.
