       @Tutanota If you have a Windows version that supports running gpedit.msc (i.e. Group Policy without AD-server), then open from there "Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows AI​" and turn everything off that you do not want. You can also disable Copilot from gpedit.msc. These changes apply to all users of the PC/Laptop.But of course, moving to Linux is always a better choice.

       @Tutanota I left Windows a couple of months ago and I regret nothing. My son on the other hand wanted to stay with windows, upgraded and is complaining ever since.

       @Tutanota I figured out one way to turn it off and have it stay off.  I overwrote  windows with Linux and I'm not going back.

       @Tutanota Si, Linux es realmente un sistema para enamorarse, he hecho el cambio hace unos 6 meses, y jamás pienso volver a Windows como sistema personal.

       @Tutanota isn't Recall only on one specific laptop that has an AI chip in it? Seems like people who don't want that crap would just buy a machine that isn't encumbered with that...

       @Tutanota It's annoying that I need to have a windows laptop around. It's the only way to get updates to my synthesizers, bc no Linux workarounds. Even more annoyed that I have to install M$ spyware next fall, so this tip is much obliged.

       @Tutanota THX for this one, even if I did switch away decades ago, first to OS/2 and the to Linux, with a two/there year stunt in MacOS 'cis they had the cooler Laptops but I never felt home there. The first kernel started with a 0. and I never want to leave again.

       @Tutanota Well actually, even if you do turn it off it usually just turns itself back on. I know some applications use the DRM function To make sure it doesn't take screenshots but that has its own downsides.
