@Tutanota well, American business, but operating in eu. So eu laws should apply. If those laws collide, then I would expect eu and usa separation to be able to comply with local laws. You cannot selectively choose which laws to follow 🤷♂️ I guess 😁

@Tutanota Same as always, people tend to forget too easily. E.g. 2011: Paypal blocks accounts of European webshops selling Cuban products. Only a few replace Paypal with other payment providers, most comply and stop selling these products.https://www.exportlawblog.com/archives/3335

It's in the pudding - no EU country has expelled the US ambassador over the actual blocking. That happened.Snowden applied for asylum in every EU country. @Tutanota Yep. Very important to understand that all US domiciled companies can be subpoened and/or subject to Patriot Act remaining crap for pretty much whatever data they hold about you. Good reason to learn the ways of privacy and self hosting.
