My NTFS drive freezes during copying. What can I do?This problem doesn’t just affect TUXEDO OS or Ubuntu, but also occurs on other Linux distributions. Take a look: https://www.tuxedocomputers.com/en/My-NTFS-drive-freezes-during-copying-What-can-I-do.tuxedo#tuxedo #linux #ntfs #howto

@tuxedocomputers in general we need file managers that use rsync under the hood for reliable copying and resuming.

@tuxedocomputers So wait, if disabling this still allows you to write and read from NTFS drives, why is it active by default?

@hoergen Vielen Dank für deinen Input. Ja, in dem Fall übernimmt ntfs-3g. Ich werde das zum besseren Verständnis noch aufnehmen.

@vartak The reason we do not deactivate it is that by far not all users run into this issue. If we 'd deactivate it, we'd probably get complaints from users asking why we prefer ntfs-3g over ntfs3.
