@nextcloudFor now WebUI.If only the #desktopclient on #Linux would have on-demand files (where all folders and files are visible in file explorers, but items only get downloaded on the spot when requested and uploaded when finished). But then, I don't know any cloud storage that has this in their Linux desktop client, despite it being so normal on Windows. Whoever gets this working first will have a real game-changer!#cloudstorage #cloud #storage

@nextcloud the desktop client is really unusable except for setting which files to sync. And that is sometimes hard on Linux since there is some rendering issue that makes some buttons transparent. Currently the only thing I do with the desktop client is to set which files to sync and manually start a sync if it’s not catching that files have changed. Mobile is fine, but there could be more feedback from the auto upload feature. Sometimes I‘m not sure why it’s not uploading my newest pictures, but then it starts about 10s later. In these 10s I’m confused why nothing is happening.

@nextcloud I use all access options. However, I would also really like an Android app for Collectives

@nextcloud Well, all four options should be equally important!Desktop access, mobile access, alternative access via the web UI.And though WebDAV is a viable option for most NAS systems to connect, it has the disadvantage that file dates and times are screwed up.So, native drivers for NAS systems like Synology, Qnap, etc. would really be a very nice addition.

@nextcloudFascinating, I use the web ui only to manage passwords. For file sync of course the mobile app and desktop client, but most important to me is the WebDAV interface for syncing calendar and contacts.

@nextcloud I use all of these depending on where I am and what I'm doing. The "set-and-forget" nature of the desktop client does appeal most though.
