I had a nap and dreamed I was on a bus to Minneapolis (???) from a small town to its southwest, with a cute guy, who wanted to take me to eat at a small family restaurant that donated profits to a refugee support program. The odds were high that we'd finish after bus service ended and I'd have to overnight at his house. (Which, per romance tropes, would presumably have Only One Bed. lol) 1/n

It was a nice break from my standard nightmares, which are usually off the Richter Scale! But also I feel like I must have accidentally got someone else's dream and right now there's a random person in small town Minnesota who has no idea they are getting my nightmare tonight.Dear Unsuspecting Person in roughly the vicinity of Glenwood, MN: I am so, so sorry about the night you're about to have.

Wouldn't it be great if we could swap dreams though? (I realize that's not how it works. But if we could!)My dreams are genuinely fascinating. They are terrifying, but they are plotty and cinematic. If you like action-adventure / survival horror dreams, and are tired of the placidly nice dreams you have, I would so happily trade with you.

Every once in a while a real life friend will make a guest appearance in my dreams. This doesn't happen often, but it does happen more often in the pandemic. I think of it as a small gift from my sleep brain to me to help with my isolated life. I love those dreams! It's often an online friend, in which case they may show up as a an indeterminate blur, in the way of dream people. Still works for me!
