@davidrevoy I have a few questions:1. Will adult Pepper be 6 heads tall?2. When Pepper was at the orphanage did she want to be adopted and new parents?3. If you are not going to finish Pepper&Carrot in book 5 when are going to finish it, if you want to do it at all?

No, not a lot of adoption because of famine post war, many kids in that time were hopeless about it. She wanted to be a witch after being inspired by one.3. I'll see, step by step, episode by episode. My short term objective is to keep going and it's already a big enough challenge. I for sure want to complete a book 5.

@ArneBab Yes, many things that were D.E. agnostic and built-in Xorg are now the charge of the D.E. under Wayland. Tablet configuration is one of them, applying ICC calibration is also one of them, managing multi display with xrandr, also.Major D.E. like GNOME and later Plasma had the resources to re implement this part, via only there GUI. Sometime (and often) limiting what was possible under X11, because of re designing their settings for what they think being user friendly and intuitive...

@fesed41018 This part wasn't really written, so, I'm basing my comments on the backstory (eg. https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/wiki/Timeline.html#famine ← Famine in year 254 , then birth of Pepper in year 256 https://www.peppercarrot.com/en/wiki/Timeline.html#256 ). I don't think she was ever hungry during days/weeks as in a real famine, but maybe the orphanage had the same type of porridge for all kids, without sweet, cake, etc... Probably a brighter situation for her once she joined Hippiah school.
