This has to fit inside another part which rotates on two axes, and I find the resulting shape almost unreasonably satisfying. It’s what’s left when you sweep away the parts that don’t fit.

There's something just right about designs which are driven by physical constraints.Flying boats are informed by aerodynamics and hydrodynamics, and are beautiful.Car headlamp clusters are informed by the need to look different from last year's model, and are horrible.

@ancientjames also the headlights are informed by trying to get them as close to bright as daylight as possible and as high up as possible, to really increase my personal irritation level when driving in a smallish car at night.
