       AI has ruined art. full stop. even genuine art pieces that don't use AI. people shouldn't need to call this shit out, and this shit shouldn't need to be investigated. it's just so exhausting.

       I think what's frustrating about this is it's also very much preventing newcomers from getting into genuine art.long-time artists who have done professional work long before AI art was a mainstream thing at least can continue to enjoy doing what they do because they have a long history of being genuine.

       @Violet It is also difficult for someone who has done art for over 15 years. E.g. when you work over two months on an artwork to create a new idea and people say it looks like AI.

       @sylvia_ritter @Violet This sucks a lot, the thing ppl don't realize is that AI looks most like those who's work has been ripped to train it on, because it's thievery in a new form.I overheard I was disqualified from assembly fast graphics for the concern (I wanna consider that a victory because it was phrased "too good to be true" but it sucks a lot)

       @Neotheta Yes, a difficult situation for many artists for sure. I am so sorry. The steps submitted should be enough proof. It is heartbreaking to put all the love, energy and soul into an entry and then to be disqualified because of false information. The paintover compo at Revision will require six steps instead of four next year to protect us from harm, I guess.

       @sylvia_ritter @Neotheta It's a shame really that there is an increase in requirements that are not put in place for aesthetics (the excitement of the process / seeing a creation come to life) but rather another necessary attempt to block out gen AI.

       @sylvia_ritter I hope they remember to impliment it in the upload system too cause the rules already did say 6 steps.This does create an annoying paradox which is that the more artists share their steps of creation, the more ai can be trained to replicate them as well >.<

       @Neotheta That is not true, unfortunately. I looked at the competition page so many times: https://2025.revision-party.net/competitions/graphics/. It says 4 steps in bold. I was a bit angree to hear that there should have been six steps instead. I don't know where this information can be found. It makes no sense.

       @Neotheta ... yes it can be more trained and people could steal your art and say they made it. We can only hope nothing will happen and continue to create art.
