@Tutanota I would appreciate if platforms allow to customize these fields instead of offering a fixed set of options. Known services can still be listed as an option but it shouldn't be limited to them. There are too many social media platforms nowadays.

@Tutanota NONE! Separation is key to privacy, so I don't want any overlap between the platforms I use. I have absolutely no desire to sacrifice privacy for what is deemed by others to be "convenience".

@Tutanota I don't understand what you're asking but my vote is only for Fediverse or other decentralized tech or open source tech. Preferably European as well.Definitely not Insta and don't care about Bluesky either. Strange options to highlight for a company that's supposedly all about privacy. 🧐 Why were these options chosen?

@Tutanota I also think that we don't need this. I'm not really using the contacts anyway. Just the option of known addresses is already enough for me. Keeping these things separate, should be optimal. Don't even think about a login option via a Google account or anything else like that. Comfort almost always introduces privacy and security risks.

@Tutanota You mean for automatic contact import? Uhm, none, I think, apart from my actual "contact" list (like "contacts" on my phone). Not even fedi.I could always export contacts from other apps into my "contacts" app or right into tuta. I think it's too messy to have auto-import from several sources if I can't exactly define what those are. And I don't want even you to roam my machines.Please correct me if I misunderstood your question.

@Tutanota Thank you for explaining, that actually means a lot to me!I see, seems like you have some great UX designers over there trying to understand what people want. 😉 I hope the common patterns listed in this thread are noted. Take it as you will, but whether you intend this or not, adding them to your contacts app is a small way of promoting them and affiliating Tuta with them. Which to me, doesn't align with the Tuta brand, mission, or values.Imo, we need to be highlighting european and open tech and helping people discover these alternatives, instead of giving any amount of prominence to platforms like insta for sure and Bluesky (which is also questionable depending on who you ask).
