       @TutanotaFirst, I totally support and promote Tuta. And this is exactly why I suggest to you, to rethink your pricing structure and do stable but cheaper prices instead of higher pricing with discount offers. Nobody wants to fear a price increase or feature drops due to missing offers. This is what Proton does and it's not good at all for their reputation.@ohmrun @alexadeswift

I'd love a small paid option (maybe €5 or 10 a year) for a bit of extra functionality. This is common with so much of this kind of s/w. The step from free to paid options is just too high. It's the software version of going from getting the bus to buying a BMW. What I need is a basic Renault Clio.

And it's rather  patronising and frankly rude to refer to  "not being able to afford to pay" while generously offering the free version. No one said anything about affordability. And we know there is the free version. This is specifically about justifying the spend if we don't need all that paid functionality. About the jump between the free "getting the bus" version and the first paid tier, the BMW tier. For those of us who would like to pay for a slightly enhanced offer, the unavailable "Renault Clio" tiery.
