       i have a customer pocket reform here for warranty inspection and the customer had applied a matte film to the display... that's pretty cool actually

       @mntmn matte displays are kind of a must to see content instead of your face as long as any illumination is at play =/ or to have letters in your terminal brighter than the reflected lamp. if your displays weren't matte, consider reconsidering, doubly so if/once you go OLED.

       @monk our classic and next reform displays are matte. just the pocket reform display is glossy, as there weren't matte alternatives available

       @mntmn Upon first reading I thought that the customer (accidentally) applied a (Club) Mate film to the display. Which then rendered it a 'warranty' case :-)

       @mntmn I wonder if some other technology or supplier can provide a service to factory-apply an anti-glare sheet, etched glass or something like that to minimize reflections.Me personally, i dont want to see my face all the time while using my laptop, it gets too distracting soon. :D

       @mntmn I'd like to see a mod for the steam deck oled screen.  It's got a nice matte etching on the glass. Plus it's just a little bigger and OLED. Maybe I'll get around to trying to figure it out one day.

       @mntmn Is pocket mnt reform going to be supported by OpenBSD in the future? I am curious because their minimalistic way of doing things and using their variant of xorg, xenocara interests me.
