@dansup I wouldn't call Matrix a replacement for WhatsApp. Only Signal is at this moment (for the masses - don't scream XMPP-fanboys!) . Matrix is a replacement for (the none gaming usage of) Discord and Slack.

@dansup I dunno about equating Instagram with Pixelfed. There's lots of ordinary folks on Instagram, everything from disability rights advocates to a woman who performs classic works on the piano with a rooster on her head. But Pixelfed seemed very hard core photography; I found it very intimidating.

@dansup thank you for posting all of those because I am on loops. I have not tried it yet, because I was never on TikTok and have nothing to offer, but I wanted to support them. My idea though for its use is to inform people about civics when I can come up with an interesting way to do it.
