@davidrevoy there’s so much polish that goes into your art. At half the video I thought “this looks done”, but the end result is so much … nicer is the wrong word. More refined? Balanced? More real?More *something* that turns a drawing into an image that fits a book cover.

@Tionisla @socketwench It's often zoomed back at the size of a thumbnail, but the Krita built in recorder replay it at full size. Yes, designing this quick values helps me to manage the composition and decide from the start the direction of the main source of light. That's often an information I need as early as possible because it influencate my line width while drawing. It's also very convenient to start this way to split background and characters (and not have to line-art my backgrounds)

@pixelfed @bhawthorne @ailnoth Hey, main reason was that this picture is a parody of a Totoro scene and I just substitued the oiginal characters to mascots; so I had a limited amount of character I could put into the picture (that's why also no Lemmy, Funkwhale, etc).By the way, this document https://github.com/pixelfed/brand-assets/tree/master would benefit a lot if the license of the mascot was written on it (CC-BY-SA I guess?). Keep the good work!
