       update on MNT Pocket Reform motherboard RC2:—the new latch chip for power enables works so RP2040 can be reset while the system can continue running—new TUSB8041 hub works fine—headphones sound clear/noise free—microphone input (from headset) has not ideal signal to noise ratio, test recordings have audible white (?) noise (more later)

       i am using the TLV320AIC3100 dac/adc which appears to have a lot of features, esp. filtering, that are not implemented at all in the mainline linux driver https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tlv320aic3100.pdf?ts=1701969473863
