       this project was forsaken almost a year ago. that time I intended just to make a stylized mushroom model. and several days ago I've found it in my #Blender projects folder and thought that it deserves a bit more than to be just a single mesh. so after several tries and failures it became what you can see here: small video about nothing with mushrooms in the leading role. not a complete failure, but leaves much to be desired. for example, I can't understand, why mushrooms' heads are flickering, when I placed the meshes in the separate light linking collection, excluding them from all other light sources. maybe moving texture? idk, but I'll find it out somehow. :)#b3d #blender3d #blenderart #blenderrender

       look what I've found yesterday! 🧐 it turned out, that #metal #music #festival HellFest 2025 is taking place just now! 🤘 I've found occasionally an overview of its program with the mention of live streaming at Arte.tv. aaaand… it was cool! 😎 I mean, even if you can't afford to travel to the fest in person, you can headbang at home watching it live at realtime. it's almost magic. 😁

       you know what? the norwegian #StonerRock / #DesertRock band #Slomosa is perfect for chores (like vacuuming/cleaning/washing dishes etc.). I'm not sure they were aware of such effect of their music, :) but nevertheless they're just great. =) thank you, #HellFest2025, for such discovery! B-)

       hm… this is very interesting opinion of #autism from the point of view of evolutionary psychology. the key point is that some autistic traits could be very useful in some environments and so they become stable during the process of natural selection during #evolution.I'm neither a biologist nor a psychologist, but in general the idea seems rather curious.

       @davidrevoy @ms_zwiebel @creativecommons Unfortunately, there is no mention of a 'no AI' rule...well… there are such mentions, if I understood correctly. though ai restrictions apply not in license/signal itself, but in headers (robots.txt and HTTP headers). I mean, ai=n and genai=n in Content-Usage:. but I agree that headers do not have any legal effect, so can be ignored (as a matter of fact now).

       @TerryHancock it's impressive and scary. impressive by how their products still work and don't being crushed during use. I mean, I have a vague feeling that they have to use the steel of some particular quality with some alloying or something like that. but what they actually used was just any scrap metal they have. and then, when they finished gear teeth, the guy operating the machine checked surface quality by his bare hand on the path of the tool during working. I didn't see any measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, templates, even simple ruler. so the text about quality, accuracy and precise tolerance seems like a trolling. and it's scary, as you already mentioned safety violations… but I guess their gears are too cheap comparing with other manufactures. and if they start to use safe processes, it'll inevitably rise the prices and they could not compete with others. and it's sad…

       I've found this post yesterday, and I've attained enlightenment it was pretty big discovery for me. It's a shame, but in spite of all my experience and curiosity in IT area, in my head there was no clear conception about basic algebra definitions. Well, as a student I attended classes on discrete math and linear algebra, but I still could not understand, what the heck is a ring or monoid… And here comes Steinar H. Gunderson and explains such things so that even 5 y.o. could realize. 😃 So, I want to say, “Thank you! At last it become more clear and I can move further.” 😊 It helped. Really.

       @darktable if AI means LLMs, of course “No”.In a broader context, when ML-based tools and small statistical models are used to help other algorithms to classify objects or evaluate thresholds or predict values estimations, why not? If using statistical methods will improve graphics-based tools, it could be very useful.

       I've taken my #camera from repairing shop and made a couple of shots just to #test. And – I can't stress it more – full-frame picture is amazing! 🫠 Seemingly nothing special, just #yellow and #green #leaves. But colors, brightness, DoF etc give some special impression. Yes, I have also a cropped camera ( #Nikon #D7200), and it's excellent tool that I use very often. But when I bought #D750, I fell in love immediately after the first shot. 😊 So, here we are, #photo about #nothing. 🙃 #photography #nature #autumn

       btw, folks, hello from #Osaka! =) I'm here for short vacation, and this weekend I'm leaving. nevertheless, i've already been at Nara, Kyoto and Kobe and tomorrow I'll go to Wakyama. It's my first time in #Japan, and (IMHO) #Kansai is just wonderful for traveling.
