Spunk Press - Formats supported
Text Formats and Disks We Can Read
Currently, most of the material in the archive is held as simple text
files (ASCII). You should be able to convert your DTP files to this
format; if you have problems, we'll try and accept anything within reason.
If you have a document in a richer format than plain ASCII we would be
interested in that as well. We are not sure yet whether we will support
anything better than ASCII in the future (HTML comes to mind), but
We can certainly convert the following.
- MS-DOS and Windows:
- 5.25" and 3.5" diskettes, in ASCII, Pagemaker, DisplayWrite and RFT,
Enable WP, IBM Writing Assistant, Lotus Manuscript, Mass-11, Microsoft Word,
Multimate, pfs: series, Samna Word IV/Plus IV, WordPerfect-4.1/4.2,
WordPerfect-5.0/5.1, WordStar, WordStar-2000.
- Apple MacIntosh:
- 3.5" diskettes (HD and DD), in MS Word, Mac Write, Pagemaker,
Claris, Publish-It-Easy, Adobe Illustrator, Canvas, Aldus Freehand,
PhotoShop, Superpaint
- CDROM:
- we can read ISO, High Sierra, HFS and Rockridge CDROMs.
- UNIX tapes and disks:
- we can read most of these.
- Images:
- we can read almost any common image format (JPEG, TIFF, GIF, etc).
- Others:
- contact Spunk Press for advice.
