VR, medium-rare

No, it is not weird- VR is not the god sent answer to all of the worlds
problems. However I do believe that it has the potential to become the most
powerful and compelling art medium mankind has ever seen. For that to
happen, we as artists have to take a responsibility to explore every aspect
of it and define the artistic language that is developing in this medium. I
feel that VR goes beyond what we have in traditional art mediums, however
it will never replace them- just as photography didn't replace painting and
printmaking (except as commercial, profit driven techniques of mass
communication)

I also like the fact that you haven't read the 'VR classics'- i just
finished reading Snow Crash and while I found it to be amusing, the vision
of the 'metaverse' seemed stiff. Now I don't feel so alone cause i've not
read it all.
