people were not arguing with your sentiment, but only with your
way of expressing it. Calling an idea "wrong" is counter-productive and
only invalidates your opinion, especially if you do not back it up well
(which you didn't). Try and be a little less agressive with your
criticism and try to provide more information with them and maybe people
will be more respectful of your opinions.

I liked the gardening question, however, the tone of the first part of
your message didn't make me want to read much further.

Yeah, I agree 100% with what Kevin's saying here. I'm one of those
people who took it one step further and simply didn't read any
further. It sounds like I might have missed something, whatever this
"gardening question" may be. If you can repost it in a non-hostile
manner, I'm sure that I and many others would respond with favorable
insights.
