Hi all there seems to be confusion developing abut VR-ART

Carl Loeffler sead on VR-ART
"Nice to see this list, tho I'm confused by the seperation into two
groups"
Well all it seems the list owner for vworld feels that vworlds will cover
the creative discussion an the theoretical side of VR usage and so wont's
to define the propose of VR-ART just the pratical side
some have sead that this is an atempt to monopolise creative discussion an VR.

VR-ART takes this aproch
VR-ART was created to cover ALL aspects VR usage as a MEDIUM and it is
hoped well help to develop as a said at the Briton
DIGITAL CREATIVITY CONFERENCE

"VR-ART WAS SET UP TO HELP CREATIVE,S HOW'S CHOSEN

MEDIUM IS VIRTUAL REALITY AND THAT THERE

CHOSEN DISCIPLINE IS VR"

I and I hope others will start will help in defining VR as a discipline
and start to define how they are and what they wont to do as
Virtual Directors-designers-architects-PRACTITIONERS

you can if you wont discusses it purely on a philosophical level as so many do
but remember this IS A NEW MEDIUM more sophisticated than any other medium
that has come before and like all other mediums it is bye becoming a
practitioner that you can
truly understand it as a MEDIUM FOR CREATIVITY.

So many users of VR see it as a tool to add there primary discipline and
in doing so they vainly try to claim it as there own.
surgeons
Painters
Architects
Tacticians
Business Analyse
scientist
philosophers

And then they all try to judge VR buy there primary disciplines critics
only ever seeing VR as THE TOOL no more

===I FOR ONE SAY VR IS MY MEDIUM I CREATE, DESIGN, BUILD===
===SHAPE, DIRECT, DEVELOP, EXPLORE, AND COMMUNICATE====
===========WITH IT AND THROW IT"===========

this is why VR-ART was set up I do not care what your previous disciplines,
skills where
all are welcome. All are needed to help DEFINE this now DISCIPLINE, CRAFT,
SCIENCE of VR.

if you want to simply discourse vr then ok.
But I wont more, I know this sounds like a challenge and it is .
I wont to build it, See it, touch it, shape it, show it,CREATE IT and then
discourse it
and other VR Practitioners endeavours
I wont to help others do the same.
The HYPE is over the wield clams and end-lass discussions go on
In looking for what's important I will look at all other disciplines, arts
and sciences and yours
them as TOOLS.
Tacking that which I can use to develop my medium.

I hope this helps all

And Kevin

VR NOW LET OUT THE BOX CAN NEVER BE PUT BACK IN AGAIN
