I think anchors should be called pointers. They point to an another "page" when you are navigating through mosaic.
Most writers of WWW "pages" use anchors to go back to the preceding page. I do think this is a bad idea. If you look on you "Navigate" menu, you will see there is an item called "Back." On the upper left corner of the mosaic window, you will see a "Back" button. Select it with your mouse when you are ready to return to the previous screen.
"Back" is built in to mosaic, making it completely unnecessary to add an anchor to go back to the preceding page. That is like a bad programming practice -- it's like using BAL or BALR instructions without returning by a BR instruction.
