I think you can see the potential of the WWW by now, and the flexibility Fujitsu could enjoy putting manuals out on the WWW. For example, HTML and the WWW can receive data as well as display it. This means that a FORTRAN90 user could connect to Fujitsu's electronic manual and upload diagnostic information on a problem, which could be automatically reviewed by a diagnostic program that is launched at the FOSSI site (I would like to be involved with developing this kind of automatic connection on the WWW, if possible).
