         -Data General-

If any of you people have run into a data general, and it
hasn't been an Eclipes or of the normal types it might by a Nova
based system.

Here is some goodies on the system..

   Logging on to the system

When the computer prompts you with

   ACCOUNT:

Answer with AAXXX (XXX being any initils) or (OPXXX if you
want low access) then password: well you will have to figure
that out but once you have it most of the owners of the data
general machines use the same password on other DG also...

Once you are in the system first break out of the program
(using ESC key).

There are many directories in a data general computer...
usually 7 or more but 2 directories are always there these are
$SYS and $LIB.

If you were to type '!DIR $SYS' this would bring you to the
system directory which just happens to have a program called
'HELLO' and it is the password to the system (one password for
everyone) you can also put a password in there of your own(no
one else could get in) or if you were smart you would make a
password for your self and keep the existing password in the
program..

   Other commands:

   LOAD "FILENAME
   RUN "FILENAME
   !LIST................lists programs in current directory
!DISK...............tells how much disk space is left
