  Introduction

After the time when the xxxxxx telecom installed some nice devices. I wrote
a loader that allowed TLO to play 5 frequencies but that wasn't a good
solution. TLO doesn't support any decent frequency scanner and has no
volume scanner. So I decided to start to write my own dialer in December 94.

This program is the best dialer on PC you can get. It supports 5 frequency
trunks, an advanced frequency/volume scanner, a routing scanner, scripts
& much more. It is written in Borland Pascal and Assembler.

What is this program good for?

You know - fine. You don't know - no! - you shouldn't know.

How to get your old datas to this version

If you want to use your phone numbers, trunks, [...]
from SCAVENGER-DIALER V0.51 and below - delete SCAVENEW.DAT &
copy the old SCAVENGE.DAT to this directory. The program will convert it.

What to do if the GUS support doesn't work

Make sure that you started the dialer with option /G.
If the ULTRASND environment variable exists it will be used. If it
doesn't exist the program tries to detect the correct settings.
So you still have any trouble with it? - Write me an email.

The following shows an example how the volume scanner works:
         frequency/volume scannerĿ
                        F1 V1 F2 V2 F3 V3 F4 V4 F5 V5

          scannerfreq: 100 40 200 401100 451200 451300 45

This example scan the volumes of the frequencies 100, 200, 1100, 1200,
      1300 Hz. The frequencies 1100, 1200 & 1300 Hz will be scanned from a
volume of 45 to a volume of 63. So it begins with:

                   100 40 200 40 1100 45 1200 45 1300 45
                   100 40 200 40 1100 46 1200 46 1300 46
                   100 40 200 40 1100 47 1200 47 1300 47
                    . . . . .
                    . . . . .
                   100 40 200 40 1100 63 1200 63 1300 63

Then it goes on to 200 Hz. The volume of 200 Hz is constant from
40 to 40 so the volume of 100 Hz is scanned.

               100 41 200 40 1100 45 1200 45 1300 45
                   100 41 200 40 1100 46 1200 46 1300 46

                   100 42 200 40 1100 63 1200 63 1300 63

                       CTRL-S Toggle Script after on/off
(useful when scanning automaticly and you
                               just listen to it)
                          TAB Start automatic scanning
                            S run ROUTSPEC.SCR

                            R reset counter
                       CTRL-C Toggle Carrier scan

The routing scanner is a very powerful part of the dialer. With it you
are able to scan routings or numbers either manually or automaticly.
In automatic scanning mode you are just listening to the connection.

If you want to scan routings automaticly at first you have to create a
script file called ROUTSCAN.SCR with all the function you need to make the
line ready to dial like PLAYTRUNK, WAIT, [...]
Optimze your break to 100% and enjoy the automatic scanner.
An example:
-------ROUTSCAN.SCR-------
WAIT 2000
PLAYTRUNK 29
WAIT 1000
--------------------------

A nice feature of Version 0.61 is the scan counter. You can change the
maximum counter with the keys < >. When the max-counter is reached the
script file ROUTSPEC.SCR is called. Got it?! You are able to scan routings
for hours without a hangup. You simply bypass the 2 minutes timeout (+49),
that is caused if you do not get a connection. So you would dial a number
that always picks up the line (loops, test number, pbx's or vmb's work fine).
Then it goes on. You have another 2 minutes now...
An example:
-------ROUTSPEC.SCR-------
WAIT 2000
PLAYTRUNK 29
WAIT 1000
DIAL A09999999999C
WAIT 5000
--------------------------

Another great feature of Version 0.61 is the carrier scanner. You can scan
modem carriers using bb. It is really great!
Create the script file ROUTCARR.SCR that will init the comport,
send atdt to the modem, log 40 seconds, hangup the modem
An example:
-------ROUTCARR.SCR-------
INITCOM
SENDCOM ATDT
LOG 40
SENDCOM +++
WAIT 200
SENDCOM ATH0
DONECOM
--------------------------

All new parts of the routing scanner are still beta.
I wrote it some days before the ACCESS ALL AREAS hacking/phreaking
conference. Anyway... happy scanning!

unauthorized users to a trusted internal network while giving
internal users the benefits of full access to the Internet.

BorderWare Network Technologies Europe will be bringing along
their BorderWare Firewall Server and challenging anyone to try and
break through it during the Conference.

A case of Champagne will be on offer as a prize for any successful
        attempts.

The Firewall will be connected to the local network, protecting a
second network and UNIX system running SMTP and the usual network
services (FTP, Telnet, etc). An attack will be judged successful
if the Firewall can be penetrated and a file can be retrieved from

If you are a sysop and want to become a SCAVENGER-DIALER support site
write me an email. If you think one of this boards is not good enough
and your board is 1000x better let me know it too. Please don't write
me if you run a warez bbs except you live in a country that has only
a few boards like in Uruguay.
