User sparcipx is talking about digging out an old TRS-80 4P
and working on it again[1]. That's the kind of post that I
find exciting, and that I can relate to. Old computers,
especially ones that you have some history with, are just a
lot of fun. I hope to read more about that!

There was a time when getting the latest and greatest
system or component felt like a thrill worth pursuing. But
now, years later, it's a complete bore. I don't know what
the psychology behind it is, I just know that now, with a
couple of decades of technology behind me, what's new isn't
as fascinating as visiting or re-visiting where it all came
from.
